Dorothy is the oldest child of John Leonard and Daisy Towers. The family
moved to Brown County when she was about 10 years old. She attended
Buffalo School in western Brown County where she graduated in 1935. In
November of 1935 she married Bryant Bennett Wilson. Her parents moved
back to Falls County the following year. Dorothy and Bennett lived in
Brown County their entire married lives. After his death she continued to
live in Brownwood for some time but later moved to Kermit, where her
daughter, Sue lived. She later moved to Odessa. When she retired she
moved back to Brownwood and bought a place at Lake Brownwood, where she
still lives.
