Haley Grove Cemetery is owned by the Haley Grove Baptist Church. When
Ericus Hatfield {00214} retired as a farmer and became a minister, Haley
Grove Baptist was his church and he preached there about every 4th or 5th
Sunday. Circuit preachers like Rev. Samuel Rose{12743} preached there the
other Sundays. Ericus deemed "too old" to go on horseback and "ride the
circuit" over several counties. Haley Grove Baptist Church is in the Crab
Orchard Community in Cumberland County. Haley Grove Cemetery is located a
mile or 2 down the highway in the Haley Grove Community. I don't think
the Haley Grove community officially exists now (Post Office-wise). Crab
Orchard very much still exists.
