Well Known Ottoville Lady Passes Away
Death of Mrs. Ellen Eickholt, Mother of Bernard Eickholt, Occurs Sunday at Ottoville-
Eight Children Survive- Funeral Wednesday Morning At Ottoville.

Mrs. Ellen Eickholt of Ottoville mother of Bernard Eickholt of this city, passed away at her home Sunday morning at 8:30 O'clock following an illness of several years. She had been bedfast, however, for only three weeks before her death which was caused by complications.

Mrs. Eickholt was born on August 24, 1848 in Pennsylvania the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hatfield When she was seven years old her family came to Ohio and settled near Defiance. In February, 1875, she was married to Joseph F. Eickholt. They resided on a farm two miles north of Ottoville and in 1919 moved to Ottoville. Mr. Eickholt preceded his wife in death in August 1919.

At the time of her death, she was eighty-five years, six months, and ten days of age. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Ottoville and the Altar Society.

The following children survive John, Edward and August of Ottoville; and Bernard, of Delphos; Mrs. Louis Wurst, of Ottoville; Mrs Theresa Humbarger, of Dixon, Ohio; Mrs. Grover Bishop, of Elida; and Mrs. Charles Wurst of Lima.

One son, Henry passed away nine years ago and another, Gephart died twenty six years ago. Four brothers and one sister also preceded Mrs Eickholt in death. Twenty-eight grandchildren and twelve great-grand children also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception Church in Ottoville. Burial will be made at St. Marys cemetery, Ottoville.
