Mrs. Martha Raines Hatfield, 88, of Trinity, died Monday, December 22,
2014 at the GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
 
Born January 4, 1926 in Ransom, KY, she was the daughter of the late John
and Rosy Boyd Raines. She was a homemaker, and was a member of Sophia
Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death
by her husband, Willie Hatfield; daughter, Anna Mae Hatfield; three
infant children, David, Samuel, and Angel; two sisters, Josephine
Honeycutt and Marie Phillips; and a brother, John Raines.
 
She is survived by four children, Willie James Hatfield and wife, Lois,
of Arizona, Verlan F. Hatfield and wife, Pat, of Denton, Lena Gay
O'Shields and husband, Sam, of Trinity, and Kenner Ray Hatfield and wife,
Ruth, of High Point; one brother, Bill Raines; six sisters, Jean Quick,
Minnie Newton, Lois Hinkle, Ruth Lewis, Molly Church, and Mary McDonald;
16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and nine great-great
grandchildren.
 
Funeral will be 12:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral
Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Johnny Cox and Rev. Wayne Rouse.
Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family
will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
