Hi,
I am married to Donald Joe Hatfield who is the son of Joseph Hatfield
who was the son of Valentine aka Squire Hatfield.
Don's mother was Jane Poague Osborne Hatfield. She was Joe's third
wife. Don was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Falls Church VA.
Don was born on 12/29/38. Is he in your records?
Don is not aware of any half siblings from his father's former
marriages. Don is an only child as far as he knows. Are there any
other children of Joe Hatfield in your records? Joe was an attorney and
worked for West (Law Books) Publishing in Washington, DC. He died in
WV ( I think) in the 1970's having divorced Don's mother, Janie. She
died in May 1981 in Roanoke, VA.
We have a daughter, Suzanne Remington Hatfield who was born 1/21/87 in
Boston, MA. Don and I were married 6/1/85 in Nantucket, MA.
A friend who must have visited WV last week on vacation just sent me a
copy of the reunion brochure and I am frankly delighted. I don't know
if we can come, but it would be great for Suzanne - as an only child
with few cousins on my side - to have a larger family to think about.
